My Time at the Softball Zones

Soft ball
“Home run, Home run, Home run” we shouted because the years 7’s and 8’s went to a
softball tournament. I know what your thinking I’m only year 6. I had to go because our school
didn't have enough senior girl’s. In my team there was Angel, Melianna, Ferah, Havana, AJ, Karla,
Sayonara, Meron, Tiana and myself.

The ball was zooming in the air as if it was a home run. No! They caught it on the foul
we were hoping our girls would at least get 1 home run.

We all ran down to the green wall looking as if the minibus showed up, but at the split second we
all were so happy because it was right in front of us. I was hoping that it would rain, so it could get
cancelled to Friday so Hayden / my Dad could come. We all jumped into the bus ready to go. I’m here
the bus driver called out, we were all super excited but nervous. We all walked out to our diamond
that we were playing at, but we found out that the grass was wet so we had to go to Miss Paton’s
car to get her tarpaulin.

We ran back to the diamond because we had to practise for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Havana and I had to practise our pitching to Tiana. Miss Paton shouted out “The game is in 5 minutes”.
We all got organised and ready to start. Two Wesley boys came over to do our scores.

Here are the results from the Softball Zones

I was really nervous because I didn't want to let the team down. I really wanted to bat most of the day
but I loved fielding. It was tough but I know we all tried our hardest and had fun and that's the
only thing that mattered. I’m proud of every single one of us. It was very exhausting and tiring.
I just wanted to go home and go for a long deep sleep.
