Day 5 - Activity 3 - Week 4 - Summer Learning Journey

What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year? I have learnt alot this year but the biggest thing I have learnt is that How fun it could be instead of just watching Youtube or Netflix you could do some learning which is going to be very useful.

What is one thing that surprised you? One thing that surprised me was how fast all of this went and how much people are keen about learning in the summer.

What is one thing that concerned or upset you? Was how some people didn't even do one little activity that takes only 5 minutes.

What is one thing that you (or your family) can do, moving forward, to help protect our natural environment? Is to stop using plastic, Using paper carefully and using the electricity less. Another thing that I would like to accomplish is to go outside and see how lucky I am to be living in this beautiful country everyday.

Thank you all and all the Summer Learning Journey Teachers!

  1. Well done, Charlee!!!

You've accomplished so so much this summer!!! You're very impressive.

The members of the Summer Learning Journey team are really pleased that you chose to participate in the program this year and that you learned so much about how to live more carefully on the earth. I agree with you that one of the most important things each of us could do to reduce our human impact is to try to stop using plastic. Plastic is causing our plants and animals so many problems!!! And, in the long run, it is causing us a lot of difficulty as well.

So, enjoy the rest of your summer holiday! It's been a pleasure blogging with you!

    Cheers,

    Leslie

  4. Hey Charlee,

Wow, congratulations on completing the entire Summer Learning Journey programme. What an absolutely phenomenal effort. I have been so impressed with the amount of time you have dedicated to completing the activities. I have enjoyed watching you journey through them. I am extra proud because you have not only finished the programme but you were the first in the Ako Hiko Cluster to finish the programme! That is absolutely incredible, Charlee. I am sure your Mum will be extremely proud of you.

It was awesome to see that you really enjoyed participating in the SLJ. I agree, much better for your than watching Netflix. I absolutely agree, we live in a stunning country and by reading all the activities, especially W1D1A2, where people where talking about their hometowns, I came to realise what a safe and beautiful city we live in. Go outside and the sunshine and fresh air knowing that you have nailed the SLJ!

Remember, you can still go and earn points by commenting on other students blogs and encouraging them to keep participating. Be sure to personalise your comments and make a specific comment about that persons work.

I cannot wait to see your comments popping up, I hope.

    Keep it up,
    Megan :)

  5. Kia Ora Charlee,

As Megan, Leslie and Allie have all said - Congratulations on this fabulous accomplishment! You have done so well and worked so hard to finish the entire Summer Learning Journey programme. I can see from Megan's comment that you were the first one in the entire cluster to finish. Woo hoo! That is awesome!

I know that Megan is really looking forward to coming into Christ the King School in February to hand out the certificates and the prizes for the SLJ. I hope that you will be able to continue with your learning journey this summer by posting quality comments on the blogs of other students who have yet to finish up. I know that it would mean a lot to them to hear from you! You can earn 2 points for every quality comment that you post so please consider joining in and posting quality comments over the next two weeks. The programme is open every day until Friday 25 January 2019.

Hope to see you online over the next few weeks.

    Bye for now!

    Rachel :)
