Day 5 - Activity 1 - Week 3 - Summer Learning Journey

Persistent Pollution
Sorry but the video didn't turn on so I saw some other websites.

  1. An air pollutant is a material in the air that can have adverse effects on humans and the ecosystem.
  2. The five major types of pollution include: air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, light pollution, and noise pollution.
  3. The most common sources of air pollution include particulates, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and sulphur dioxide.

  1. Hey Charlee,

It’s awesome to see that you have included some great information about air pollution. Some of the information that you have shared was too complicated for me to understand. For example, your third fact about the common sources of air pollution. I see that this fact came from an online journal. It is important to remember that when you find information online you must put it into your own words. Otherwise, it is called plagiarism. If you do not understand what the fact means, then it is probably best to find another fact to share that makes more sense to you.

For this activity, you were asked to watch the video about air pollution. I have included the link below. Be sure to listen closely and find some facts in this video that make sense to you. Maybe you could listen to the part about smog and tell me how this is created.

I am looking forward to returning to your post to see three new facts. I can then award you with the points for this activity.

    Ka kite,
    Megan :)
