Day 4 - Activity 2 - Week 4 - SUmmer Learning Journey

I think Countdown made a great decision to stop selling plastic bags. The reusable ones are great for use and great for their business. I also think the price is good it is $1 for
.
The only thing now is to not sell these ones

  1. Hi Charlee!

It's Cathy here! I really liked the way you used pictures to explain what you were saying! I am also very happy that countdown has stopped selling plastic bag! Did you know that 500 billion to one trillion plastic bags were consumed every year! Keep it up!

  3. Hi Charlee,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.

I agree with you that using reusable cloth bags is the way to go, for good reasons! The pollution that is created by our use of plastic bags is really dreadful both on the land and in the sea, isn't it?

When our family goes shopping we take our reusable bags and, if we're going to do a big shopping, we take our laundry baskets. They're easy to pack, easy to carry, and easy to unpack. The store clerks are used to us doing this because we've been bringing them to the store for years. They don't ever ask if we want a plastic bag, and I'm glad of that.

Hopefully every good choice we make makes a good difference!!

I hope you're having a super summer and I'm glad that you've chosen to be a part of the Summer Learning Journey this year!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
