Day 3 - Activity 3 - Week 1 - Summer Learning Journey

Clip #2: Tigers

1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save.
Freshwater seals and tigers
2) What the WWF is doing to help the animal.
Seal-making sure that the pups aren't born on open ice so by helping the make snow banks were the seal should be birthing their pups
Tiger-They make groups all over the world to protect tigers
3) What, if any, success they have had protecting the animal.

    You are right, the WWF is hard at work trying to protect seals (and tigers). I like that you have included some good information about the snowbanks they are building.

    Remember that the activity only asks that you choose one animal (well done to you for challenging yourself to do both). I will look at what you've worked on for the seals as you have included more information there.

    The seals do have a specific name, do you know what it is? It'll help to go back and watch the video again carefully to find out. You have also included some basic information about what WWF are doing to help them survive. Rather than a link to an information source, we are asking you to answer the third question in your own words.

    In order to gain full points for this activity please include the name of the seals as well as some information (written in your own words) about whether the WWF has been successful in helping the seals survive.
