Day 5 - Activity 2 - Week 1 - Summer Learning Journey

Dear - Friends     From - Tiana and Charlee
I went to Tundra and it is so different.
Tundra does not have a lot of trees so there is not a lot of oxygen.
It is Freezing.
Tundra has a couple of animals like Reindeers, Arctic Fox, Muskox and more.
I think you will enjoy it because there are a lot of mountains but they have snow on the top.
See you later,
Bye

  1. Kia Orana Charlee,

You and Tiana have written a informative letter about your time in the Tundra, next time it would be great if each of you wrote your own individual letters. I like that you've included some of the amazing animals that live in the Tundra. I am amazed at the animal's resilience and will to thrive in an environment that is not as rich in resources as other Biomes and insanely cold!

Perhaps next time you could talk about the views you would experience there, think about the land, the colours and surrounding nature. What do you think it would smell like in the Tundra?

I'm not sure I'd want to visit the Tundra for too long, I like the cold but I've not experienced below freezing temperatures like -28°C. I can just feel my fingers curling up now..

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
