Day 4 - Activity 1 - Week 1 - Summer learning Journey

If I could ask Sir Edmund Hillary 5 Questions it will be:
What did you want to be when you were younger?
Who inspired you to do this?
In the middle of your trip did you ever regret doing it in the first place?
What where your feelings inside?
Was New Zealand one of the beautifulest places you have seen?

  1. Mauri Charlee,

You have asked some good questions, I wonder if he found New Zealand one of the most beautiful places after climbing the magnificent Mt Everest. It is always good to think of some questions that only the person you are interviewing could answer/would know, ka pai.

I am curious to know about when you would ask him how he felt inside. Would it be when you ask about the beginning, middle or end of his journey?

A few questions I would probably ask are; ‘Did you hallucinate at all breathing in the thin air?’ and 'Did you see anyone who had frozen to death on the climb? How did it make you feel?’. I bet the mental struggle was almost as tough as the physical climb, I can’t imagine trying to climb in that environment.

Keep up the good work Charlee, also ka mau te wehi, you have completed the Summer Learning Journey! Congratulations!

    Toe feiloa'i fo'i,

    Cia.
